The Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line is a key component of the “Yangtze River Corridor,” one of the main corridors in China's “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail network. Among these, the construction progress of the Lezhi section of the high-speed rail project has drawn particular attention. In the future, the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway and the Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line will intersect here, and the station will serve both lines. During the bidding process for the digital exhibition hall at the Lezhi project, Sichuan Xinmeizhu Prefabricated Building Technology Co., Ltd. actively responded to the call. Guided by the principle of “effectively reducing resource consumption throughout the project’s entire lifecycle” for the client, the company stood out among numerous bidders and secured the contract thanks to its outstanding design proposal, extensive project construction experience, and the adoption of new technologies, processes, and eco-friendly materials. After more than 40 days of construction, the Lezhi Multifunctional Digital Exhibition Hall has been fully completed and officially put into use.
The head of Sichuan Xinmeizhu Prefabricated Building Technology Co., Ltd. explained, “The exhibition hall has a building footprint of 920 m² and a usable area of 1,415 m². The exhibition content is organized into five major sections: quality, safety, environmental protection, occupational health, and VR experiences.
In terms of construction, the project breaks away from the traditional forms of temporary steel structures or civil engineering used in conventional projects. It actively implements “Four New” technologies and adopts the concept of prefabricated modular buildings: structurally, all connections are made with bolts; for exterior cladding, panels are pre-manufactured in the factory according to design specifications and transported to the site for assembly according to the corresponding structure. It features environmental friendliness, easy disassembly, recyclability, and efficient installation; even after dismantling, the reuse rate can reach over 80%.” The exhibition hall’s design is both aesthetically pleasing and innovative while remaining true to the theme: The exterior silhouette of the exhibition hall is modeled after the front of a high-speed train, featuring elliptical lines. The facade combines wavy, pure-white aluminum panels with curtain wall glass, creating a sense of depth and technological sophistication. The exterior walls of the training center are designed with a pattern of undulating mountains, symbolizing the responsibility and dedication of Sichuan Road & Bridge employees—carving roads through mountains, building bridges over rivers, and traversing the nation.
The most distinctive feature is the “Time Axis Cultural Corridor” designed at the center of the exhibition hall, which bears the hallmarks of Sichuan Road & Bridge. Resembling a time tunnel, this design aligns perfectly with the nature of the work undertaken by the main contractor of the high-speed rail project currently under construction. The positioning of the “train head” directly facing the “time tunnel” symbolizes the high-speed rail traversing through time to a brighter future, allowing us to once again witness China’s infrastructure prowess and the “China Speed.” Currently, Xinmeizhu Technology is continuously refining its production processes and improving materials to develop a wider range of products.
